A standard bathroom remodel takes 3 to 5 weeks from demo day to handover. Larger primary suites or layouts that move plumbing can stretch to 6–8 weeks. Here's what each week typically looks like on a Titan Construction project.
Week 1 — Demolition and Rough Inspection
Old fixtures, tile, drywall, and flooring come out. We protect floors and HVAC returns, set up dust containment, and inspect the stud bays for moisture, mold, or rot. Surprises are addressed and documented.
Week 2 — Plumbing and Electrical Rough-In
Drains, supply lines, and any new vents are installed. Electricians add or relocate circuits for vanity lighting, exhaust fans, and heated floors. The first round of inspections happens at the end of this week.
Week 3 — Backerboard, Waterproofing, and Tile
Cement board goes up in wet areas, followed by a waterproof membrane in the shower. Tile setting begins — this is the longest single phase and where craftsmanship shows. Layout decisions made now affect every grout line for the next 20 years.
Week 4 — Vanity, Fixtures, and Finishes
Vanity, mirrors, faucets, toilet, lighting, and accessories are installed. Glass shower enclosures are measured this week and typically arrive 7–10 days later.
Week 5 — Punch List and Walk-Through
Final paint touch-ups, caulking, hardware adjustments, and a detailed clean. We walk the space together with a punch list and address anything that doesn't meet the standard before final payment.
Tips to Keep Your Timeline on Track
- Order tile, vanity, and plumbing fixtures before demo day.
- Avoid mid-project design changes — they cascade into ordering and labor delays.
- Make sure pets and kids have a plan for the construction zone.
